Courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the Foreign Language Faculties, Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language), School of Journalism & Mass Communication, and School of Economics. In all other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small groups of students.

Social and Health Policy Committee of AUTH was established in 1997 with the aim to facilitate students with disabilities. Services have been developed and updated according to European and International standards. If you are selected for an exchange, make sure that you have sufficient knowledge of English, both written and oral, to take part in the courses that are taught in English. Courses are intended for exchange students who have completed at least one year of studies at their home university. Please note that exchange students cannot normally combine courses and study opportunities to obtain a final degree at Linköping University.
When cooperation agreements are made by subject area, department or faculty, learning agreements can only be made within the faculty concerned.
To search for courses, please choose the faculty with which your home university has signed an agreement.
The academic year consists of two semesters. The autumn semester usually runs from the middle or end of August to mid-January and the spring semester from mid-January to the beginning or middle of June. There is usually a break of one or two weeks during Christmas. Other study breaks, e.g. during Easter, vary depending on the course/ programme.
Credits and grading
One semester of full-time studies equals 30 credits and one academic year equals 60 credits. Grades are translated into the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) when awarded. As teaching stresses personal responsibility and individual performance, the grades received reflect not only the final examination score but also participation in the course. 2. Following the receipt of the paper application (printed online application), AUTH will send its decision within 4-6 weeks.
3. A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI.

You will receive a Learning Agreement together with your Letter of Admission. Make sure your Learning Agreement is signed and stamped by the coordinators at your home university and remember to bring it with you to Linköping University if you have not already sent it in.
Within the first two weeks of the semester, complete the Learning Agreement correctly and hand it to your International Faculty Coordinator.

4. Termination of the agreement
In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."
